Whew! I have had a exhausting two weeks. While my friend Abby was here, I was always either working on homework, in class, or hanging out with Abby. When we went to Vienna, we tried to cram in as much as we could, trying to keep ourselves busy and keep from missing home during the holidays. The old thought is true- being gone over the holidays really is a bit sad. Abby and I made the most of it, though, and had a great time.
Anyway, I am happy to be back in Slovenia. There’s no place like home, even a temporary one. I slept for ten hours last night, watched the Dr. Who Christmas Special, (a British TV show,) ate lunch with some friends still in town, bought an external hard drive to save all the photos I’ve taken, and read a SciFi novel. Tomorrow I’m going to Maribor, a town in the north, to visit a friend overnight. Dear lord, I can’t wait for school to start again…Don’t worry, I will backtrack and fill you on our adventures. I’m full of stories and thoughtful reflections. But for now, I’m still on “vacation.”
Merry-Post Christmas from Vienna:
And a nice view of part of Ljubljana for you, too, the photo of which was taken while Abby was visiting:
